We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Project Analysts within the Corporate Finance.
ABOUT THE JOB
You will work within the PMO specifically supporting the activities of a particular Sub Domains. The overarching Domain has significant financial investment ($85M), broad resource demands and extended delivery timeframes. It requires the development of deep working relationships with Sub Domain Orchestration Leads, Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters and Heads of Engineering.
You will be the conduit for the PMO to support Sub Domain/Domain governance & reporting; financial management (including investment forecasting, actual and variance analysis, AUC and FAR process); data aggregation; risk and issue management as well as administrative activities. You will have experience in medium to large delivery initiatives and a servant leader mindset focused on support and innovation to simplify PMO governance activities.
YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this role is to deliver the project analyst core services to the aforementioned programs. The key focus for this role is to provide strong financial and schedule management across this program along with governance, and reporting support to the Product Owners and the Domain Orchestration Lead.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management
- Manage the financial management process
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities relating to financial management processes and reporting tools in use across the Program
- Support the Product Owners to maintain the project finance workbooks to ensure they align with approved budget, treatment and timeframes
- Ensure financial activities are completed in alignment with reporting cycles and financial management standards.
- Manage the month end project finance cycle by supporting all Project Managers to update their financial data, reconcile all transactions and provide quality inputs to support the Project Accountant's standard workflow.
- Monitor the posting of monthly time costing data (actual timesheet charges) to ensure this is in alignment with the Forecast Workbook.
- Monitor the posting of non-labour costs e.g. 3rd party vendors; travel; hardware; software to ensure this aligns with the Forecast Workbook.
- Prepare periodic financial reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with the Project Accountant to ensure data quality remains consistent between internal project systems (Forecast Workbook, Clarity, SAP/IPAS).
- Support Domain Orchestration Lead in the monthly preparation of financials for Lending Transformation Executive review as well as Domain LT.
- Manage clarity charge codes
Procurement
- Follow the procurement process
- Follow up SAP shopping carts with Procurement SME
- Request goods receipting on a monthly basis according to set timeframes
Project Governance
- Support Product Owners and Domain Orchestration Lead in the preparation and facilitation of the Domain governance forums i.e. Domain Leadership Forum, 90 Day Planning, Domain Retro, Domain Showcase, Loan IQ Prioritisation Forum, as well as Lending Transformation Team Meeting. Includes minutes/actions for each forum, as well as room bookings/diary management
- Support facilitation of team onsites
- Support Annual Domain Investment Slate submission process
- Facilitate monthly Rally hygiene meetings i.e. review of outstanding Epics and capacity planning
Reporting and Analysis
- Complete financial and resource analysis for Executive / Domain Orchestration Lead
- Complete Aurora/AER and Loan IQ adoption metrics
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested
Support the wider Corporate Finance Domain
- Mailbox management for Corporate Finance Domain, CIB Lending Platform, Project Aphelia and AERO
- Corporate Finance Front Door reporting
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 4-5 years of experience as PMO/ project analyst
- Good understanding of project management principles and key phases of project delivery, with demonstrated experience working in an agile environment
- Detailed knowledge of how to maintain and manage Risks & Issues Registers and provide governance over Change Control process, providing reporting at project and program level
- Good understanding of how to identify and track project dependencies and maintain project plans
- Strong Stakeholder Management skills with the ability challenge where needed, and to influence positive outcomes.
- Strong data, finance reporting skills and ability to negotiate on project budgets and costs, and help Project Managers with Funding Submissions and understanding of financial treatments
- Good understanding of how to effectively provide assurance and oversight over key project delivery processes and project data
- Prior project experience in the Banking and Financial Services Industry an Advantage
- Experience with Clarity
- Experience with Rally is an advantage
- Experience working with financial workbooks (i.e. maintain cost plans, actuals, forecasts, reference data) is mandatory for the role.
- Proven experience within a Finance function heavily reliant on the use of quantitative data to executive its outcomes
- Experience in Domains delivering large complex programs containing multiple streams, across multiple regions, with multiple vendors ($50-60m portfolio)
