Key Responsibilities:
- Process Oversight and Control:
Oversee and monitor Agile development processes in a team to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of processes and practices, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Ensure that testing responsibilities are effectively handled by Developers
Business Analyst and Product Manager (PM) within each squad.
- Quality Assurance Leadership:
Lead the QA function, providing guidance and support to Agile teams on best practices for quality assurance.
Develop and implement QA strategies, methodologies, and frameworks that align with Agile principles and enhance overall product quality.
Collaborate with squads to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
- Process Optimization and Improvement:
Analyze current QA processes and workflows, identifying areas for optimization and enhancement.
Propose and implement improvements to accelerate delivery times without compromising quality.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging squads to adopt innovative QA practices and tools.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Foster strong relationships with Developers, PM, BA, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration across squads and regions.
Facilitate cross-squad knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination to enhance QA capabilities.
Provide regular updates to senior management on QA activities, process improvements, and product quality metrics.
- Training and Mentorship:
Mentor and train Developers, BA and PMs on QA principles and techniques to define acceptance criteria & test cases.
Mentor and train Developers on automation tools to implement automated tests.
Conduct workshops and training sessions to build QA competencies within Agile teams.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in QA, sharing insights and knowledge with the team
What you should have
- Qualifications:
English: B2+
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on Agile development environments.
Proven experience in overseeing and optimizing QA processes within Agile squads.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Ability to analyze complex business processes, identify edge cases and recommend areas for improvement.
Experience with QA automation tools and technologies relevant to Agile development.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with distributed teams across multiple countries
- Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Agile or Scrum practitioner (e.g., CSM, CSPO, SAFe).
Experience in a senior QA or QA leadership role within a similar industry.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
