Your Role

Mighty Jaxx is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Test Engineer, who will be responsible for championing quality across our e-Commerce platforms.

In this role, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end QA process, from meticulously analysing requirements, writing clear and concise test cases, and hunting down and squashing bugs. You will work closely with our project and engineering team to make a tangible impact on the success of our platform!

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire Quality Assurance testing process, ensuring high-quality releases across web, mobile apps, and backend APIs
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including writing effective test cases, identifying test conditions, and creating test data
• Conduct manual testing and collaborate with developers to identify, replicate, and resolve defects reported in Jira
• Analyse product requirements and collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to ensure comprehensive test coverage for new website / app / feature launches
• Participate in continuous improvement of the QA process by identifying opportunities for new tools, methodologies, and implementing best practices
• Provide regular reports and updates on the testing progress and identify potential risks to stakeholders
• Champion automation initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests
• Stay updated on the latest QA trends and technologies

Requirements

• Proven work experience in software quality assurance / testing in the e-Commerce industry
• Manual testing experience on different platforms (i.e. Web, API, Mobile App - Android & iOS)
• Experience with test management and defect management tools, e.g. Jira
• Experience with 1 or more programming languages (e.g. Ruby, Python, Typescript, etc)
• Experience with automated testing tools / frameworks (e.g. Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues
• Detail-oriented and being able to demonstrate thoroughness in all aspects of their work
• Strong communications and stakeholder management
• Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process
