Duties and responsibilities
- Discuss the project with stakeholders to fully explore and understand the problem statements and product/project requirements.
- Present design concepts and ideas to stakeholders.
- Conduct user research, troubleshoot any UX problems and ensure changes are made to correct any issue.
- Create storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to illustrate design concepts.
- Create UI mockups and prototypes that clearly show how sites work and look. Identify and resolve UX issues.
- Exposure to the design industry and learning on the job regarding the best practices in user interface and designing.
- Ensure design standards are maintained and consistent.
- Update and add to the company's design system documentation and processes.
- Stay up to date with all of the industry's trends and best practices.
- Well organize, multitask and manage time to complete tasks timely.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in UI/UX Design for Web applications and Mobile Apps.
- Portfolio/ examples of design deliverables. (Required)
- Expand experience with desktop publishing /imaging applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, ) for use in creating graphics optimized for the web.
- Can articulate design choices and reasoning.
- Appreciation of white spacing, typography, line height, carousels, and icons.
- Ability to produce UI/UX enhancement plans including competitive analysis, persona development, user journeys, concept modelling, wireframing, and navigation strategy.
- Proven track record with both interaction and visual design.
- Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of mobile and tablet applications.
- Fluency in modern visual design and user experience best practices for web and mobile.
- Having knowledge and design taste in various domains such as E-commerce, Retail, Entertainment, High-end shopping.
- Having Design Thinking knowledge/experience is a big plus.
