We are growing fast, and we are now looking for a
Software Engineer II (PHP) to work closely with Development, QA, DevOps, Support and Product. You are a leader that will participate in senior technology strategy discussions, drive ideation across a distributed software team, develop implementation roadmaps and work with technical individuals to transform this into software products and solutions.
What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure applications using PHP and Go
- Create, modify, and extend E-Commerce platform functionalities, apps, or themes as needed
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and other engineering squads, to deliver solutions that meet business needs
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and maintain a high standard of code quality
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with PHP development
- Strong understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases
What will make you stand out:
- Experience in developing and/or customizing Shopify stores or apps
- Familiarity with Shopify's API and Liquid templating language
- Understanding of eCommerce principles and a passion for building user-friendly solutions
- Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React) is a plus
