The Investment Management Specialist will support the Investment Management department in investment portfolio management, joint venture investor relations, and risk/compliance oversight to ensure optimal investment performance and smooth partnerships in line with the company's strategic goals.
Responsibility
1. Investment portfolio management
Analyze and evaluate the implementation of business plans of the subsidiaries.
Propose and evaluate the options to increase/decrease capital, divestment and earning distribution to optimize the projects investment returns
- Assist in the project development management progress and conduct ongoing and transparent communication with working teams about the key tasks required to ensure a smooth operation
- Participate in and implement Nam Long's commitments with partners (commitment on IRR, capital acquisition, commercial real estate acquisition, ...) at project companies
2. Assist in tracking the annual/3-year business plan at the subsidiaries
- Assist in monitoring and managing the performance of investment portfolios to meet development timelines, financial goals and investment returns (such as IRR, payback period, ROI, ROE, and dividend payouts)
- Assist in analyzing financial and operational data, and business plans of the subsidiaries to provide insights and recommendations for improving project performance.
3. Implement investment management process and standards to evaluate investment efficiency for the subsidiaries
- Assist in preparing the financial models and business forecast of the subsidiaries to ensure that they accurately reflect the actual project development timeline and progress, as well as the investment plans.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders on the status and performance of investment portfolios.
- Proactively evaluate and identify external and internal factors that could impact project performance, suggesting mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks related to investment portfolios, ensuring compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Support the line manager in any other tasks or strategic projects as required, including market research, financial modeling, and business development plans.
Required skills and behaviors
Background / Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Banking / Economics / Business Administration / Accounting.
- At least 3 years of experience in investment analysis, real estate, portfolio management or auditing, preferably within the real estate or financial sectors.
- CFA / ACCA / CPA / CAIA certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in English.
