Job Purpose:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process in Vietnam, ensuring efficient material flow, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting Rockwool Group's operations and projects, aligning local supply chain strategies with global objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to align with Rockwool's business goals and sustainability policies.
- Analyze market trends and operational needs to forecast demand and manage supply effectively.
- Optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Logistics and Inventory Management:
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels to meet project and operational requirements while minimizing holding costs.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure seamless material flow.
Supplier and Partner Coordination:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other key partners.
- Ensure supplier compliance with Rockwool's quality standards and sustainability practices.
- Negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop the local supply chain team to achieve organizational objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and Rockwool's global supply chain policies.
- Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics to senior management.
Key Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or construction industries.
- Proven track record in logistics management, inventory optimization, and supplier coordination.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, ERP systems, and best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in supply chain tools and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulatory compliance in supply chain operations is an advantage.
