Job Description

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Management Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of materials, information, and processes across the supply chain. This role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing costs, ensuring timely delivery, and fostering strong partnerships with suppliers and customers. The specialist will analyze and coordinate supply chain processes, oversee inventory and distribution, and ensure all supply chain operations comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

Supply Chain Planning and Coordination

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Forecast inventory needs based on sales and demand planning.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distribution centers to manage lead times, inventory levels, and delivery schedules.

Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and manage terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, timeliness, or cost.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels, including tracking slow-moving and obsolete stock.
  • Implement inventory control processes to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Use data analysis to optimize inventory levels based on customer demand and production schedules.

Logistics and Distribution

  • Oversee logistics activities, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
  • Analyze transportation costs and explore ways to reduce expenses while maintaining quality service.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain processes, such as lead times, inventory turnover, and cost savings.
  • Use data and analytics to identify trends, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior management on supply chain performance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain processes, from sourcing to delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations that impact supply chain management.

Minimum Experience And Education Requirements

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience

3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement.

Proficiency with ERP and supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).

LANGUAGES

IELTS : 7.0

Skills And Competences

  • Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in analytics tools and software ( eg. Excel, Tableau)
  • Skill in planning, executing, and managing projects across multiple stages.
  • Strong negotiation skills for managing contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.
  • Understanding logistics, warehousing, and transportation management.
  • Expertise in inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce holding costs, and prevent shortages. Experience with inventory tracking systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, cost control, and budgeting.
  • The ability to address issues quickly and efficiently, especially in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, align objectives, and manage conflicts.
