We are helping the customer to recruit this position as follows:
Position: Sustainability Expert
Working Location: Nhon Trach, Dong Nai (Shuttle bus support from HCM)
A. Duties & responsibilities
- Embed environmental management systems to manage energy & climate change, emissions, waste/materials, water and chemicals across all Countries of Operation ( Vietnam, China, Indonesia and India ) and all divisions; footwear, apparel, headwear and vertical businesses
- Drive and deliver on an ambitious continuous environmental improvement program, initially focu s on renewable energy and carbon emission reduction for all sites, to meet or exceed Renewable Energy targets as established by HS Enterprise Executive Management Team and key customers. This would include executing on topics such as Rooftop Solar Programs, PPA's, EAC, renewable heat etc.
- This will include:
Manage and deliver on environmental legal and client compliance in Countries of Operation
Structure and operate company wide environmental data management systems
Provide technical, administrative and business case support to Senior Team and actions to deliver accordingly
Liaise with HS Enterprise Customers on Sustainability topics; define targets and actions to deliver accordingly
- To create internal and external (Customers, Investor Relations, employees) communications reflecting HS Enterprise Sustainability ambitions, activities and success stories
- Regular travel is required
B. Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience within environmental sustainability management, ideally from sports and apparel brands
- Have had operational roles in the past, managing programs and activities across multiple sites simultaneously
- Experience from working in international teams and collaborating with both local and international stake holders as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Have worked with environmental management and continuous improvements in the past
- Experience with ISO14001 and ISO 50001, ideally a lead certified auditor
- Understanding of corporate decision-making processes and capable of developing and presenting business cases
- Confident in performing site visits and technical environmental and energy assessments
- Able to negotiate about environmental topics with external stakeholders (i.e. authorities, clients, landlords, industrial zones etc.)
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field
- Technical insight and experience with a variety of environmental technologies and products (chemical management, waste and resource management, renewable energy)
- Able to simplify and communicate complex topics to non-technical stakeholders
- Result oriented
- Structured, organized, and self-managed
- Ability to handle many different types of tasks with short deadlines
- Curious and interested in environmental management and carbon emission reduction
- ENGLISH: Fluent in speaking and writing
- VIETNAMESE: Fluent (Native) in speaking and writing
