Job Responsibilities
- Lead the technical team from initial customer information gathering to final sample presentation. This includes interpreting customer visuals and drawings, defining material standards and specifications, overseeing sample construction and review, and presenting the final sample to the customer.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the customer throughout the sample development process.
- Provide technical direction during mass production, encompassing product construction, processing, engineering, and QA.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in product development and manufacturing processes, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Mentor, train and develop the technical team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Provide guidance and instruction for the management of key operational systems: IT, maintenance, QA.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Furniture Design or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the indoor furniture industry, with a proven track record in technical leadership and product development.
- Deep understanding of furniture construction techniques, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in technical drawing and design software.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with customers, internal teams, and external vendors.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of technical professionals.
- High sense of responsibility.
- Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
