As part of our strategic global expansion, we are seeking a Local Lawyer to join our team at the Bac Giang facility in Vietnam. This role is integral to providing legal consultation and compliance support for our local operations.
Position Summary:
The Legal Counsel will offer expert legal advice across a broad spectrum of legal issues related to the factory's operations, including but not limited to corporate governance, compliance, labor relations, contracts, and intellectual property. The ideal candidate will hold a valid local lawyer's license, possess over 3 years of relevant legal experience, and have excellent business English capabilities. Preference will be given to candidates with business/legal Chinese language skills to facilitate communication within our diverse multinational team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on various aspects of Vietnamese law and ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents to support business operations.
- Handle labor law issues, corporate governance, and compliance matters.
- Offer guidance on intellectual property rights, ensuring protection and compliance.
- Liaise with external counsel as necessary and manage legal disputes and litigations.
- Assist in the development of corporate policies, procedures, and compliance training.
- Facilitate communication and legal matters between the Vietnamese facility and other parts of the organization, especially where Chinese language skills can be utilized.
Requirements:
- A law degree from a recognized institution in Vietnam with a current local lawyer's license.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a multinational corporate or legal firm environment.
- Excellent business English proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Business/legal Chinese language skills are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the legal system in Vietnam, particularly in areas relevant to corporate, labor, and intellectual property law.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
