Job Purpose:
We're seeking a skilled Translator to join our team and deliver high-quality translations/briefs for a variety of media and specialized content. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both English and Vietnamese, coupled with a keen eye for detail and a passion for language.
- Translate and summarize media news articles from English to Vietnamese and vice versa, as well as identify opportunities to leverage AI tools to solve translation challenges
- Provide accurate and culturally appropriate full translations (English to Vietnamese and Vietnamese to English) for specialized content
- Research and utilize industry-specific terminology to ensure translations are accurate and meaningful
- Proofread and edit translated texts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and overall quality
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand their specific requirements and deliver translations that meet their needs
- Address any quality issues or discrepancies promptly
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Fluency in both English and Vietnamese, with excellent reading, writing, and translation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred
- A deep understanding of socioeconomic changes in Vietnam
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- A keen interest in media and current events is a plus
Desired Skills:
- Proven work experience as a professional translator (at least 1 year) and have demonstrated the ability to work with tight deadlines efficiently
- Proven experience in managing and auditing content and reports to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Skilled in generating, filtering, and selecting content to maintain high standards of report quality
- Exceptional proofreading and editing abilities with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in account and content management, report generation, and quality assurance
- Experience with AI tools, including ChatGPT, can be advantageous for this role
