Who We Are Looking For

This is a full-time role as a Business Credit Lead at Rize. The Business Credit Lead will be responsible for the design and execution of a state-of-the-art credit and risk framework for the organization. He/she will take the lead on providing data insights and analytics to business leaders and collaboratively develop risk mitigating solutions.

What You'll Do

• Co-lead the design and execution of a credit framework relevant for smallholder farmers. Collaborate with our Tech team to roll out a credit scoring product for this purpose.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with new products, initiatives, and partnerships.
• Develop systems and processes for gathering and storing data for future analytic projects
• Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment
• Analyze data to better understand potential risks, concerns and outcomes of decisions
• Validate credit risk hypotheses and third-party data with ground-truth data and calibrate the risk model efficiently
• Take the lead in writing a comprehensive credit risk manual outlining all the requirements and steps from risk data collection to credit monitoring and interventions
• Create reports, summaries, presentations and process documents to display results and contribute to strategic decision making
• Engage with financiers and credit providers to align supply and demand of climate / green finance

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification experience, including experience in a credit/risk role within an agri- or fintech
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present skills and contribute towards strategic decision making for the organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio and other analysis programs
• Experience in working with startups or in the sustainability sector is beneficial
• Experience with machine-learning, LLMs is a plus
